Workforce
Enhancing the auto retail industry’s workforce.
High-paying, meaningful jobs at car and truck dealerships exist in every community in America. New-vehicle franchised dealers are directly responsible for more than one million U.S. jobs. NADA is committed to enhancing the auto retail workforce and recruiting the next generation of dealership employees.
Women Driving Auto Retail
Amplifying female employment inside dealerships.
Women Driving Auto Retail is an NADA initiative empowering women in the retail automotive industry. Women Driving Auto Retail aims to amplify the voices of women working in the automotive retail industry, as well as increase female employment in dealerships by providing dealers tools and expertise.
Service Technicians
Mitigating the shortage of technicians with education and scholarships.
The automotive and truck retail industries continue to face a shortage of service technicians. About 39,000 new service techs graduate from U.S. career technical colleges and training programs each year. Yet the industry needs to replace nearly 76,000 techs each year to keep up with retirements and new job demand. That’s leaves an annual shortfall of about 37,000 trained techs, NADA estimates.
As part of NADA Foundation’s Workforce Initiative, NADA seeks to promote service technician careers and recruit the next generation of dealership service technicians through access to training and scholarships.
