The National Auto Auction Association Warren Young Sr. Scholastic Foundation donated $25,000 to the National Automobile Dealers Association Foundation at the 2024 NADA Show this week in Las Vegas.
Founded in 1975, the NADA Foundation is the retail auto industry’s philanthropic arm. The Foundation promotes workforce development in franchised new-car and -truck dealerships, provides emergency relief to dealership employees, supports programs improving mobility and independence for people with disabilities, and more.
The NAAA Foundation provides immediate assistance to NAAA member auction employees following weather disasters and provides scholarships to deserving students pursuing their higher education goals.
“NADA has been a valued partner of NAAA for many years,” said NAAA Foundation Board President Mike Browning. “The missions of our foundations are closely aligned, and we are honored to once again support the NADA Foundation in helping it serve its members.”
“We are grateful for the support of industry partners like NAAA and the NAAA Foundation who align in our mission to support and develop the auto industry,” said Annette Sykora, NADA Foundation chairwoman and dealer principal of Smith Auto Family in Levelland and Plainview, Texas.
Browning and NAAA Executive Director Paul Lips presented the contribution to Sykora and NADA senior vice president of public affairs Jonathan Collegio at the Live Stage at NADA Show 2024.
