2022 TIME Dealer of the Year Bob Giles was honored with a special presentation by his local Member of Congress, U.S. Representative Clay Higgins (R-La.) on June 1. The event, honoring Giles for winning the prestigious award, was held at Bob Giles Nissan in Lafayette, La.
Giles, chairman and CEO of Giles Automotive with three stores in Louisiana and an additional store in El Paso, Texas, was selected among 47 nominees as the 53rd winner for his business and community leadership.
During the event, Rep. Higgins presented Giles with a copy of the April 14, 2022 Congressional Record including a Statement for the Record celebrating Giles as the 2022 TIME Dealer of the Year. Rep. Higgins also presented Giles with a U.S. flag that had been flown over the U.S. Capitol Building and a unique America Unite Challenge Coin to thank him for his longtime service to the Lafayette community.
Prior to his election, Rep. Higgins served honorably in the U.S. Army, worked as a highly decorated law enforcement officer, and worked as a used vehicle manager at Salsbury Dodge in Baton Rouge, La.
