SESSIONS DESIGNED TO ENHANCE DEALER PROFITABILITY AND PERFORMANCE

MCEAN, Va. (Jan. 28, 2008) -- The National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) will offer 39 individual workshops, presented in 123 sessions, covering a wide range of topics at its 2008 Convention & Exposition in San Francisco, February 9-12.

These sessions will focus on helping new car and light truck dealers enhance their services and profitability in today's challenging market and for the future.

"The focus of the NADA workshops this year is on profitability," said NADA Chairman Dale Willey. "Running more efficiently is a must for all dealerships, particularly in today's challenging market. All of these sessions help dealers work toward that goal by providing valuable insight into their business operations and performance that can improve their bottom line.”

For the first time ever, NADA will offer a condensed version of the “Lifeline to Profit$” workshop from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 8, in Gateway 104 (Moscone South, exhibit level.)  The workshop covers cash management, and variable and fixed operations. For maximum benefit, dealers are encouraged to bring their financial statements to the workshop.

The complete workshop program includes sessions on such topics as, regulatory compliance, financial services, improving customer service, service menus, closing skills, succession planning, dealer valuation, hiring and retention, safeguarding customer data, and more.

In addition, popular sessions such as the best 20 Group ideas and legal compliance update will be featured on the workshop schedule.

Twelve select workshops will be videotaped and sold on DVD. All workshops will be audiorecorded for sale on CD in Windows Media, MP3 and iPOD audiobook and AudioPoint formats. AudioPoint, which is making its debut at the 2008 convention, allows the reader to view the workshop speaker's PowerPoint files and listen to the presentation at the same time.
