Building unique dealer communities, advocating on behalf of consumers and dealers, and embracing future technologies are all on the agenda for incoming NADA Chairman Wes Lutz. Lutz along with NADA President & CEO Peter Welch joined NADA’s Jonathan Collegio on the Live Stage for another signature “15 Minutes With…” discussion at NADA Show 2018 in Las Vegas.

Lutz talked about the focus of his chairmanship and the obstacles and opportunities arising from new formats such as ridesharing and autonomous vehicles. The 41-year auto industry veteran also discussed how he’s used technology to improve and even flatten the sales process at his own dealership. Welch also touched on changing technologies and the role that NADA continues to play in being the voice for dealers in the courts, the regulatory agencies, on Capitol Hill and in the court of public opinion. At the end of the day, NADA is an advocate for both dealers and consumers who need affordability, Lutz and Welch agreed.
