School is back in session across America, and students are getting valuable lessons in core areas of study. But thanks in part to local dealerships, students are also getting opportunities to take valuable trade courses. These courses are a key tool in helping to train up the next generation of technicians who will keep America’s cars on the road.

Dealerships understand the value of workforce development, and that’s why they’re helping support education courses for aspiring auto workers. Students are getting the first-hand repair, bodywork, and inspection experience that will help them become leaders in the auto industry one day. Here are some dealerships stepping up to help better train students in their communities:

  • Gettel Automotive Group in Gainesville, Fla. has donated $25,000 to the Academy of Automotive Technology at Loften High School’s Professional Academies Magnet.
  • City Chevrolet in Columbia City, Ind. has partnered with the local high school to open an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)-certified education center for students to combat the auto industry’s growing demand for technicians.
  • Rich Ford in Albuquerque, N.M. donated a 2023 Ford Transit to Sandia’s High School’s automotive class to help students get hands-on experience at repairs.
  • Master Automotive Group in Augusta, Ga. donated $500,000 to Augusta Technical College’s new Automotive Institute.
