Every November, our country honors the men and women who have served in our armed forces, both past and present. America would not be the place it is today without our veterans.

This month, and throughout the year, local dealerships do all they can to support our veterans. Through fundraisers, charitable donations, and public events, dealerships do their part to make sure veterans receive the support they deserve for the sacrifices they’ve made. Some examples from this year include:

  • All American Chevrolet of San Angelo, Texas partnered with the Military Warriors Support Foundation (MWSF) Transportation4Heroes program to present a payment-free vehicle to former U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant Chad Calvert. Transporation4Heroes works with dealerships nationwide to provide veterans with payment-free cars.
  • The Chicago Automobile Trade Association helped raise more than $80,000 for veterans and their families. Throughout the month of July, more than 60 Chicago area dealerships hosted community events culminating in the 11th Annual BBQ for the Troops. The money was presented to the United Service Organizations.
  • Garber Management Group in Saginaw, Mich. announced its dealerships will offer free oil changes ahead of Veterans Day this year. Both retired veterans and active duty military members will be eligible for the free service on November 9.
