Auto dealership brokerage firm Haig Partners, based in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., has contributed $10,000 to the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Foundation’s Workforce Initiative to spark interest in dealership careers at car and commercial truck dealerships.
“At the end of a challenging but rewarding year, the team at Haig Partners wanted to give back in a way that benefits both our friends and those seeking a career in auto retail,” said Alan Haig, President of Haig Partners. “Our commitment to the industry is focused on helping dealerships grow and maximize their value. This in large part requires developing the next generation of professionals in all areas of dealership operations.”
NADA Foundation launched the Workforce Initiative in 2019 to synchronize industry efforts related to recruiting service technicians. The Initiative offers a brand-neutral tool for recruiting service technicians and spurring interest in service technician careers. The Foundation’s website, nadafoundation.org, includes the first and only interactive U.S. map of training and scholarship opportunities available for aspiring technicians, as well as videos featuring a variety of technicians highlighting their careers and their work. Starting in 2020, the Foundation has expanded its Workforce Initiative to promote all dealership careers and will continue to work on new ways to help educate people about the benefits of dealership employment.
In addition to their $10,000 donation, Haig Partners is launching a match program that could generate another $20,000. For every dollar donated through Jan. 31, 2021 to the Workforce Initiative by Haig Partners’ clients, industry stakeholders and dealers, the firm will match the amount – up to $10,000.
